Target Practice

This will be my final test program for now.
I have taken the bombs yet another step further. You can now fire them from a cannon! :D

Use the arrow keys to set your angle and velocity (this took a bit of fuzzy maths to work right)
Press the Space bar when you are ready to shoot.
You can also click the five buttons on the left (or use keys 1 - 5) to change the border effects.

And while you're playing with my cannon, see how many targets you can hit!

You know you're good when you miss a few shots and your accuracy is still at 101%. 146 shots, 148 kills.

I did notice, however, that if a target pops up right where your cannon is, it's pretty much impossible to hit it.

Yeah, kind of a known bug that comes up if you manage to score a double-kill with one shot there. :XD:
And of course, the target placement is random.

Another cool thing I found is that, if you set the walls to any setting but Concrete, set the Velocity to 100%, and keep turning the gun and firing rapidly, you get an experience rather like what machine-gunners got during World War I - that is, you're shooting fish in a barrel, it feels awesome, but your accuracy is terrible.

Heh, yeah - part of this prototype's purpose was to let me test out the walls... including Flubber! :XD:

There's actually a fun game of Russian Roulette you can play on the Cannon Wars game - set the walls to Wrap-Around, use Super Nukes, set the winds at "Hurricane", point the cannons straight up, set the velocity to 100%, and shoot.

Heh, heh... there's an idea! :giggle:
Often, at the end of "no wind" game, I'd shoot a nuke straight up - of course, it comes straight down! :rofl:

Yeah, I know there are a few interactive Flash animations and games here anyway, but I've only really "experimented" myself.

Have u ever thought of doing 1 with moving targets? either side-to-side or towards u, at various speed, possibaly with customisable cannons (like here, a medievil cannon, a star wars laser cannon thingy, and others), targets (here, tie fighters, and stuff) and backgrounds (space and underwater and stuff)?
