What are Artisans? Starting with this year's cycle, every artist whose works have been selected as one of our Images of the Month can be promoted to Artisan of the Guild if he/she agrees. It will not only be a title that shows your standing in the Guild, of course. But don't be afraid, we do not ask you to become more active than you like, it's totally up to you. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So, if your image has been chosen as one of our Images of the Month, expect to get a promotion request soon and accept it, should you wish to. Looking forward to welcome you as an Artisan soon. |

The Daz Artists Guild proudly presents : Our Image of the Year 2015 By voting of the Guild's community : Watermill in Winter Mood by neanderdigital |
Hi Friends, welcome to Daz Artists Guild on Deviant Art ! 1. Our guild is a 3 D only community....No offense to all other wonderful artworks out there! If you are working with Daz Studio, Poser, Bryce, Vue, Cararra, etc. you are very welcome to join and become a member! 2. Please submit your works to the correct gallery folders, you may submit 2 images per week to each section of our gallery. 2a. Please submit your best and outstanding works only, unless you submit to the "Work In Process" folder....If you post work in this folder, please also send me a note with some questions you like to be answered so we can start a thread for our members to reply to it and help you out and give their hints. We strongly recommend that you give us some ideas of what you wanted to establish with your work so we can start a helpful conversation about it. You can also post it in your image`s comment. 3. We will showcase the best images of every month in our featured gallery and also feature artists of the month etc. This will be a selection done by the modteam. However your vote will be important for our Image of the Year contest, as well as all other contests and challenges to be held. The best submitted works may be recommended for a DD by our modteam. There will also be Spotlights on gallery sections coming soon to show your works to a wider audience! 4. We highly recommend giving constructive critiques to our members submissions. Please take your time to view and comment on the works of your fellow guildies. Start discussions and ask questions. You can always ask, should you have a problem with some techniques or software etc. I am sure one of our fellow guildies had similar problems at a certain point and will be willing to help you out with some hints. This is an important focus of our Guild, so take advantage and use it!! Thank you for joining our community, please help to spread the word... Render On... |
Gallery Guidelines The Daz-Artists-Guild likes to thank you all for the great art you are submitting to our galleries! Please see our submission guidelines below before you submit your works to ensure your works will go to the correct folder : *Fantasy – For fantasy scenes and content. Steampunk, Surreal, Magical, Mystical, Fairie/Fae/Pixie and Anthro may be submitted here. For images where there is a suspension of the accepted rules of nature and physics. For scenes depicting an alternate or fantastic world. For example, referential works would include the work by/or the like of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Terry Brooks, George R. R. Martin, Le Morte d’Arthur, Jacek Yerka, Frank Frazetta, Brom, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, Howl’s Moving Castle, Beowulf, or Alice in Wonderland. *Science Fiction, Utopian and Dystopian Futures – For science fiction, utopian and dystopian scenes and content. This folder is for depictions of the near or far future; including ultra-tech, cyperpunk, post apocalyptic and sci-fantasy (i.e. Star Wars or Dune). For example, referential works would include works by/or like those of Frank Herbert, Philip K. Dick, Arthur C. Clarke, Andreas Eschbach, William Gibson, Jules Verne, Jean-Claude Dunyach, Issac Asimov, Heinlein, Bradbury, Anderson, ... as well as individual works like Metropolis, Brazil, Dark City, Blade Runner, Night Watch (Ночной дозор), Halo, Starcraft, Deus Ex... *Romantic – Historical Romantic or any other images where emotion and mood is presented in a romantic way. Images that would also fit in other categories, like Fantasy, Every Day Life and such can be posted in Romantic, as long as Romance is the main theme of the image. *Action and Suspense - For scenes depicting either action and suspense. This is a broad category, including contemporary, historical, or near-future (i.e. cyberpunk), alternate history (i.e. Steampunk), or fantastic action scenes. This can involve gunplay, sword fights, hand-to-hand combat, fangs, combat between vehicles (spaceship, aircraft, ...), etc. . The focus of the scene must be either action or impending action. This is another folder that may overlap with multiple folders. *Dark Themes and Horror – For images containing violence, dark supernatural themes, gothic, or vampire. Please note that images of extreme violence (excessive gore, acts of explicit murder, killings, hangings, beheadings,...) or torture are not included in D.A.G galleries. For example, referential works would include the work by/or the like of Poe, Lovecraft, Poppy Z. Brite, Stephen King, Koontz, Anne Rice, Wes Craven, Silent Hill, Le Pacte des loups, Nosferatu, H.R. Giger, or Rob Zombie. *Mythology and Myths – For mythological scenes and characters. This folder may overlap with Fantasy, Horror, or Action from time to time; however, the central focus should be a depiction of a mythological event (Saturn eating his children) or character (Aphrodite). *Pin Up and Glamour – For Pin up and Glamour images. Pin up is broadly defined as consisting of a tempting look and/or a sexy pose to inspire desire in the viewer. Pin up can run the gambit of modern pin up to the classic pin-up of the early 20th century and late 19th Century (think Alberto Vargas or the posters of Henri Toulouse-Latrec) Glamour images are similar to pin up in that they are both artistic images; however, glamour has less emphasis on overt allure and more emphasis on the aesthetic nature of the human form. This folder accepts both; if you are uncertain of whether or not your image fits into this folder perhaps, the Mature folder is the best option. The TOS still applies; NO exposed genitalia. *Everyday Life – For scenes made with realistic content. In other words, this folder is not for fantasy or science fiction. Examples may be still life, depictions of contemporary life, or historical depictions of life (Medieval, Colonial North American, Victorian England, or cavemen trading stories over a camp fire). *Portraits – For head and shoulder images; strictly held to waist/hip up images. NOT full figures. *Scenic – For scenes where the focus is upon the landscape, terrain, architecture or scene setting. Starscapes and Outerspace scenes may be included in this folder. *Animals – For images with an animal (nonhuman and nonhumanoid) as the central focus. Prehistoric and contemporary species would go into this folder. Fantastic or alien (including dragons, robotic, etc.) creatures would go in their respective folders, Fantasy or Science Fiction or even Mythology and Myths. *Vehicles – For images with a vehicle as the primary focus. Past and present motor vehicles, planes, ships, trains, spacecraft, etc. would go into this folder. May potentially overlap with Fantasy, Science Fiction, Utopian and Dystopian Futures, Action and Suspense, Mythology and Myths or Scenic depending on the situation. *Comic Art And Visual Stories – For one page or multipage comics and multirender visual stories; however, we also accept tribute or fan art renders of comic characters. *Marketplace and Promotions – For morphs, objects, skins, clear-cut images for post-work, brushes, and fonts. We like to see DAZ compatible products; however, that is not a restriction for this folder. (We recognize that our members use a diversity of tools in their work.) ALL obvious promo pieces containing "Artistic License", "Elite 3D Models", etc. monikers go here; NO exceptions. *WIP Section – For works in progress or exploring experimental artistic concepts. *Tutorials – For tutorials on digital art techniques. This is not exclusive to just DAZ software; but may also include post-work tutorials. *Mature Content – For anything mature themed; images must have a filter. This includes images with exposed breasts (insuffciently occluded) and certain artistic nudes; however, the TOS regarding exposure of genitalia still applies. NO EXPOSED genitalia. (see excerpt from our TOS on lower section of this page!) *Artistic Full Nudity – For all images showing either male or female full nudity and/or having visible genitalia. See group TOS below for restrictions. Thank you! |
