Understanding Comics, by Scott McCloud http://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Comics-The-Invisible-Art/dp/006097625X/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top I've suffered through more Art History classes than I care to recall. They taught me a great deal about what's been done before, but the great questions of why does art exist was largely left to our speculation. Likewise, the practical question of why one would choose one art style over another was always attributed purely to the philosophies of the artists through time, reacting to their environment and the work of the artists before them. Happy B-Day!!
Live long and prosper.
Happy Birthday ^^
Fantastic conceptual work!
What program did you use to for your User ID image, and "Dawnshield in a Box"?
My avatar and the paper for "Dawnshield in a Box" were both made in Adobe Illustrator. That program has quite a learning curve, but once you figure it out it's unmatched at making vector art, in my experience.
Thanks! Any tips for getting over the curve?
I am a bit early, but happy birthday.
