Is this your own art work? I saw this on Google and couldn't find the artist - it is exactly the style I adore and I was looking to re-issue my novels with a black and white theme. Do you work on commission?

This is mine. I'm glad you found me.

I generally don't do commissions, but I have ears and they're decent at listening. Perhaps personal message me, or we can transition to email?

I'm digging the contrast ......my favorite medium is actually flat black latex paint on a smooth white surface like foam board.....lol....sounds cheap yes? Wish I had photos of some of the things I've done so i could share...

Thanks for this.....totally get it...its good

Seriously? You looked at it? MY GOD! Thanks so much... I'm a big fan of that piece. It means a lot that you would actually look at the poem I made based on it.

Woah! Don't go idolising it. I don't feel like I'm at that calibre. Still, it's strange when people seem to be affected by my work the way I am by others. I suppose I did something right there. Thanks. ^^

This is beautiful! I used lino printing once and I find it challenging, but I loved it! All the details there are so precise! The tree looks amazing and dreamlike! And I love the way you took the picture of the lino AND the paper together, instead of only taking a picture of the card on its own: it makes it look so much better.

Actually, what you're looking at is the final product. I took both a white and black piece of paper, stuck them together, and pressed the lino against that, trying to get the paper as perfectly in half as possible.

It's quite stark, and perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but it has an almost "Tim Burton-ish" feel.

Well, I wasn't all that familiar with Tim Burton's work when I made this, but I can see what you mean. If a can borrow a book term, there's a strange intertexuality that lies in artistic works.

Sorry for the tardy reply here - it's a lino print using two different coloured papers and two different coloured inks. It's actually a mono print, as slight amounts of water around the branches on the white side created what I like to think look like leaves. Thanks for the interest.

I find this sort of eerie and beautiful. Very simple concept dressed up so well with the swirling of the branches. The variations in the lines with the white and black side are particularly well done. I also like the little bit of grunge feel this has to it!

It's the luck of monoprints. I was quite fortunate with this one, I'll admit. Thanks for the accolades.
