Here is my newly finished Stag painting, this canvas hung patiently on my wall for around 2 years somewhere between finished and not, waiting to be completed, and now I think it's there, I hope you like it, thanks for checking it out and for all the amazing comments and support you all give me, it really does mean the world to me.
In Celtic religion, the stag was a symbol of the god Cernunnos, "The Horned One"
Cernunnos was a god of the forest and of wild animals, He was seen as a god of plenty and often featured with ornate antlers of gold and jewels and is depicted as the protector of the forest and its many inhabitants.
