I had to do a self portrait for one of my classes in the HND Photography class I just began. I am loving it!
We had to show some element of ourselves and being an insomniac I thought this was fitting...

While it is pretty much exactly what I had in my head when I thought it up... I don't like it =S I dunno why though... The lighting maybe?

What do yous think?

Hi! :iconheleflirtplz:

You have been featured in my last edition (forever) of the nude as the news newsletter (I'm no longer the gallery moderator for nudes, that's why it is the last one).

I loved working with this community this whole year! Thank you for being part of it!

Welcome to InsomniaArt.com. If it weren't for sleep deprivation, I don't think I'd bother too much with DA. I feel your struggle.
Did you use a multiple exposure, or a delay/strobe to achieve this effect? Either way very cool shot!

Haha! Well I am glad you stayed awake to find my photograph.

Its s 10 sec, single exposure in a black room using a torch (jammed into my sofa) for the ghostly light. :katana:

That's definitely what insomnia looks like. I've had a major case of it the last couple of months. Seeing as how it came on when I stopped exercising regularly, I'd say that's the cause. Gotta work out till you're sweating and feeling the burn at least twice a week if you want good sleep.

Too true! The only days I sleep are the non-stop ones! :katana:

Thanks! I had a look and see you like dark imagery. A few of your paintings were fantastic... Think you will like my next shoot ;)

I think the light's been caught really well. Your long exposure means you get that ghostly effect, it really fits the whole theme thing; light keeps everyone awake, you're bothered by it, its still not why you're awake though. Nice =)

I feel this way every damn time the sun goes down. :+favlove: bloody brilliant.
