This is my masterpiece! It was my last creation during my time in school. Im quite satisfied with this,,, it went out just like I wanted it to be :D

Idea, design and crafting made by me.

The "egg" is made of a solid giant piece of elm-wood turned in a lathe to bring it to this egg shape.
And then, split into three pieces that are attached to a 10cm diameter plastic transparent pipe, with a solid and chromed metal sting made in a metal-lathe attached to its bottom...

...That construction is attached to a frame that is made of metal, and it's blasted to make a dull effect to the surface...

The light source comes from inside the egg covered by the mid-section.

sadly, the picture dont show how nice and shiny the chrome-sting is :P

lots of thanks :) Im not sure what this style is... but I like to call it Jules Verne inspired futurism...

I took a look at your woodwork and it seems like you got the talent :) :)

I'm more for things made in a mission style but that is one of the coolest light designs I've ever seen.

"Jules Verne inspired futurism..." Nice. I like that and it's a pretty good description.

Thanks for the compliment. I just got started woodworking so I'm still trying to figure some things out and learning as I go. :)
