...so I thought I'd already run through almost all of the patriotic superheroines for July calendars, when I was reminded of "American Dream", Marvel's female counterpart to Captain America. So, recently inspired by Cap's appearance in Marvel's The Avengers (which I thoroughly enjoyed), I drew up this li'l drawing of Tetsuko as Shannon Carter's star-spangled alter-ego.
(Speaking of Cap: he's got the best line in Avengers: being told that Thor and Loki are "gods", Cap replies, "There's only one God, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure He doesn't dress like that!")

Kid-mommy look it’s Captain America
Mom- sweetie captain America is from a movie
Kid- no mom really look!
Mom- oh dear he’s right! Wait is he because I believe captain America is a man unless that is a man but they do have excellent boobs
Tetsuko as American dream- don’t be afraid citizens American Dream is here!
Bystander-Oh no that truck is out of control
Tetsuko- here goes nothing (Jumps of the building and thinks while landing) “ I could just punch the truck but it might hurt the person inside I could block it with the sheild but then it’ll fly up hmm. I guess I’ll have to catch it”.
Tetsuko lands and stands in front of the truck with her shield out
BOOM, the truck collides with her shield and flys up in the air.
Tetsuko drops her shield and starts running as fast as she can to get under the truck
Tetsuko- oh god here it comes, hmmmm ahhhhhh not as heavy as I thought but very annoying to chase after a car
Kid- WOW SHES SO COOL
Mom- I don’t remember captain America being that strong either
Tetsuko- respectfully ma’am captain America ain’t got nothing on me! As she proceeds to drop the truck
