I haven't been ill, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, and I haven't been (deliberately, anyway) ignoring you. I've just been negligent in checking in here as often as I should, and that caused me to fall into a vicious cycle wherein I'm anxious about logging on because there are so many notifications to process, which leads to further reluctance to visit, which leads to even more notifications to process, which leads to... Anyway. I owe big apologies to everyone who's left comments in my galleries and on my home page. I'll try to answer these in the next couple of days. And to those who've left me notes: apparently DeviantArt has overhauled the messaging system, and when I finally did find my Notes, they'd been converted to "Read Only" mode. So now I have to figure out how to respond to them (if I can!) So, again, my apologies for not responding to Notes and DMs before now. If I figure out how, I'll answer them soon. In the meantime, I figure I should make a "peace

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth; I haven't been sick; just been neglectful of my social media presence. I did have a bit of an accident with my car. About a month and a half ago, I was making a left turn at one of those intersections that have two left-turns lanes, and somebody kinda drifted into my lane apparently not checking to see of there was already a car in it. No serious damage, just some dents and scuffing on the driver's side. Got an estimate of about $2700 to repair, which the insurance company was willing to cover (minus a $100 deductible), when suddenly they changed their minds and decided to declare the car a "total loss" (I guess because the repair cost was too big a percentage of the car's market value), and offered a settlement of ~$4700. Mind you, the car sustained no mechanical damage; it's perfectly drivable, and I have been driving with no problem since the incident. But because I wanted to continue to drive the car, I had to have it re-titled as

...inadvertently created a new OC, that is. "How do you 'inadvertently' create a new character? Isn't that kind of a deliberate act?" Well, it happened with Charlotte the Voluptuous Avenger–a few sketches I did that suggested a character, and suddenly I had a name and somewhat of a concept that just kind of happened. But the story behind my new superheroine is a little lengthier, so I appreciate your patience. It started with "Biceptember" over at X/Twitter. I thought it would be a cute thing to do, post a few pictures of my muscle-babes flexing their biceps. I didn't have a lot of time to do original art for it, though, so a few of the posts were rough sketches that I'd done for practice (and "other purposes" *ahem*) and cleaned up a bit for posting. Among those sketches, one female kept popping up. Blonde (again), her hair always tousled-looking as if she'd just awakened from a night of wild sex, her physique that of a "fitness" competitor but with disproportionately HUGE arms.
