David Stroker was born in the mid nineteen sixties in the great white North of Wisconsin. He spent over two decades traveling the world as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Air Force. To date, David has been to 40 different countries spanning the globe, the most recent of which, was Cuba. This has given him a respect for the concepts of perspective and perception. He prefers the challenges of abstract to other genres of visual art. “Like many things, abstract art is relatively easy to do, yet very difficult to do well.” Battling severe depression and a vicious sleep disorder, often he is up in the wee hours of the morning, unable to sleep, working on some painting. David loves almost all forms of art, “It’s not always how we live, but it sure is why we live; the passion, the emotion…” He also insists that art should be easy for collectors. “You don’t need to be an expert to see if you like it or not. You should only collect what YOU like.”
I give my abstract paintings abstract titles as well. I think they should be just as made up as the piece itself.
