This is another version of the same theme...

Thanks

I love this piece. I can connect with the feeling here, I love the lighting and colors and the sheer simplicity of it. Lovely.

Both are great, but this one I like more. Because of the contrast between the colours and the white background.

the white background gives it more of an innocent feel
which sort of makes it more sinister, like evil is hiding everywhere

I prefer this one because it's lighter and inspires more vividness. Still, the concept behind it is really good. :)

I love the vivid, almost neon, color of the green. Perticularly the droplet at the end of the needle, I love this picture!

I can't quite decide which is better,
The black background contrasts more strongly with the colours I feel, but this one has a "better" symmetrical feel to me...

I saw your work on the front page and i decided to check out your gallery (which i love) and im sorry if this comment is a little late, but i much prefer this shot, the white background makes the needle seem unassuming, like it's trying to hide among the onther colors. This is a very powerful concept,a dn wonderful picture. I'll be watching your work :]

Actually, I like the white background better. It gives the whole scene an air of peaceful innocence because the syringe isn't the first thing that catches your eye. First it's all bright playful colors then the eerie realization of what the picture is really depicting sinks in. Am I making any sense? I'm tired...

I like the lighting in this one better, I think, because it gives you that feeling of "everything's ok" when you first look at it because it's light and cheery. Then your brain kicks in. But I like the angle in the other shot. It gave it more dimension and makes it look a little less forced.

Both pieces are great. I liked the first one more because the shadows made it seem more like a loss of innocence. This picture is sterile; it has a white background. That could, however, been seen as tragic irony. I like both pieces, so forgive me if I seem to be arguing against myself sometimes.

I'm curious as to why you made the green note into the needle. Is it because green is commonly assosciated with poison? Is it because the green was near the center? (But if that's the case, then why not yellow? It's also near the center, and yellow is regularly thought of as an "innocent" and "happy" color. FOr the sake of irony and contradictions, it might have been better to choose yellow.) But what do I know? I'm not the artist, and that's why I'm asking you.

Fantastic shot. I was only going to skim through your gallery, but with these kinds of shots on the front page, I think I'll take a closer look.

I prefer the lighter of the two; but I'm just a person without any money to buy art, so I could very well be wrong...
Or just paranoid and indecisive.

It makes the colours really seem brighter, and makes the whole concept sadder.

Great work as always dave, but I am having trouble associating "end of innocence" with the picture.

I don't see it. Could you explain in more details what message you wanted to convey and shed some light on the title vs. image?

I like them both equally. I think this one has more of the "innocence" feel, emphasizing what was, and the other has a darker feel, empasizing what now is. Both are wonderful. I think this one is actually a little more depressing.
