Normandy SR1

"Do you recognize it?", John asked, looking over his shoulder. The model ship in his hands was the last one missing in his collection. He wanted it to be perfect. Now, after hours of working on the tiny parts, it was finished. Not really perfect - his hands had never been this steady - but very close indeed.
'Mission accomplished', he thought with a satisfied smile.
"The first Normandy", Kaidans answered while leaning against John, putting his hands on his shoulder. The smile on his face seemed somewhat melancholic to John.
"What are you thinking about?"
Kaidan grinned, and it took him a while before answering the question. "Besides the good times, the hard times and some unforgetable few years?"
