Love your work mate! Exactly the sort of subjects I adore!

I'm delighted you liked that photograph. That carving does have some lovely fine detail.

I'm glad you liked my latest silly song. I'm glad I can make you smile.

Hey @dashinvaine I just found this video channel via the above video. It reminded me of your Byzantine Army artworks for this earlier video covering the same period. Plus, our previous email discussions about alternate fantasy medieval army aesthetic ideas besides the overused Roman Empire and Western European references.

I thought the video also helped show how a general-issue infantry body armour and kite shield is used with a decently long spear for a shield+spear wall. From this visual, one could play around with other fantasy medieval armour ideas/designs to serve a similar role.

What do you think?

Hey @dashinvaine I just watched this video and I couldn't help but wonder if this weapon style could be of use to you. More so as it's not as well-known but could fit in a fictional or fantasy setting while having a historical reference to show the idea actually works in real-life.

"...This feature can make a spear like a rapier! I love spears and have a few favorite types, but this one clever design element is one of my absolute favorite things and can be added to almost any spear!..."
