6th art summary of the account!
I've completely fallen out of using DeviantArt to be honest, but still felt putting up an art summary was worth the effort. Mostly for my own sake.
Here comes a quick summary of my year:
==----------------==
January: I didn't really find anything worth featuring for January. I turned 18, officially becoming an adult. 5 days later I had prom and had a good time overall. 7/10 month, could've been better.
----------------
February: I vaguely remember having a lot of exams during this period, as state exams approach. I found a new group of friends on Discord. We'd talk late into the night, game, watch movies etc. It finally felt like I was part of a group, something I'd longed for a long long time.
----------------
March: State exams now even closer, I didn't really draw anything. Paper doodles were unfortunately lost to time and all that I could find was an unfinished scorpion painting intended for a friend... we don't talk all that much anymore so the art piece is never to be finished, I guess.
----------------
April: A week of spring break, more talking to friends and starting to play DnD! The featured art piece for this month is actually my first ever character, a Lizardfolk druid. I only played him for 2 sessions due to time zone differences (I played from 4AM to 8AM) and the DM dropping the campaign. Still had a nice first experience!
----------------
May: Oficially finished high school and partied hard (for a whole day!). Also started preparing for state exams.
----------------
June: **State exam time** + start of summer break. I also made the final decision on which college I will be attending. The featured art piece is a redraw of one of my first characters! Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
----------------
July: More DnD, a few commissions, art stuff, nothing out of the ordinary. I started dating at the end of the month. :^)
----------------
August: I spent a surprising amount of time outdoors, going on walks, short hikes, a few one-day trips and the sort. Still no tan though... next summer!
----------------
September: September came and went, marking the last month of summer break. I still went out lots, but that was about to change...
----------------
October: ...because then came October - the start of college. Computer science. I was terrified at first, mainly because I had no idea what to expect. Thankfully, I found a friend group with similar interests and found myself at peace relatively quickly. We mostly explored the cafes around campus until we found one with a pool table and darts, and relatively cheap coffee. The place soon became our main meeting point. I was quickly overwhelmed by a programming exam and an English presentation in the second week of the semester, but I went through with it and passed. With all this going on, there was no way I'd be drawing aside from quick paper doodles.
----------------
November: The first half of this godforsaken month was filled with studying and preparing for my first ever set of college exams, which took place in the second half of the month. I only had 5 exams overall and 2 of them were a walk in the park, but the other 3 required a ton of work to be done. Unfortunately, I failed one of them and I have to take it again in February of 2020.
----------------
December: A very festive month, naturally. Bought a ton of gifts for my loved ones and friends, caught up with a few friends from high school, went on a short weekend trip to the capital and overall had a good time. I started preparing for exams that await me at the end of January in advance so I don't avoid a repetition of last time. Christmas was nice and I welcomed 2020 with open arms.
==----------------==
In retrospect, it was an okay year. Many less downs than I'm used to. And that's basically it.
Cya.
