I was waiting for my flight to Sydney, this was around the time that the Croc Hunter had his run in with the stingray... I was listening to a conversation at the bar regarding that, these guys were off to the side...I think I was drinking vodka and eating a chicken ceaser salad at the time...I have a few other shots of the guys at the bar that I may work on later :D Dunno what they thought about this weird Aussie guy pointing a 50mm lens at them, but they didn't complain :)

I try to be unobtrusive when shooting. There is a gentleman that shoots for Getty Images that used to be here back when I had my original account. I still follow him in other places online, but he likes to sit in cafes and other public places with a little Leica rangefinder on his lap, snapping all kinds of awesome street work. I would love to produce work even just a little like his in regards to the styling... he also shoots a lot of really well known personalities as well... some of my favs:

I can't open the links :'(

I'm very admiring people who can catch street life beautifully...I try but was never satisfied (except maybe one photo in Japan but I feel like a thief capturing beautiful moment of other people Sweating a little... it's was a grandpa teaching to his grandson how to purify himself in a temple), it's very hard to catch a mood in a street landscape or more over, to catch people expression or feelings and I have to say that street landscapes or people are not very inspiring for meSweating a little... ...I feel like if I succeed one day to make satisfying pictures of street life (according to my own criterions and ethic), I could say I'm good at photography Nod  I'm far from that :| (Blank Stare)

That's a bit weird...did you try right clicking and opening in new tab or window? I just got them to work then, so it may be an issue linking from da maybe ? I am not too sure :(

I try and be as unobtrusive as possible, sometimes it can be done if you can work from the range on your lens and lap shoot, otherwise a 70-200mm or similar lens will let you get a bit further away. I have a 40mm prime, 100mm macro and a 24-105mm that I use a fair bit, but yeah also carry the 70-200mm and for extreme work, the 150-600mm  but that one is hard to keep out of sight lol :P

It depends on the locations too, here there isn't a great deal that is worth shooting in this city, it isn't very exciting at all, so I don't really shoot around here. Sydney is better and well, I prefer travel styled street work, there is a lot more life in areas like that :)

I have a 120-400mm lens but never try to use it in town, indeed, it's not very inconspicuousSweating a little...  (oh is it the Sigma 150-600 mm lens ? what do you think of this lens ???)

Even if I shoot from far range, some scene are very respondent and it's quite hard for me to show the picture then cause I somehow feel I steal something Sweating a little... I'm crazy  or :dunno:

Ah yep :) and nah, I have the earlier Tamron one, they have released a better revision of it, but my finances are not allowing me to go out buying more glass at the moment :(

I have a few images I shot on the last trip that are a little like that, some pretty harsh captures of life in not-so-well-off areas, where people have next to nothing, yet they are doing the best they can.
