Here I am giving costume design another shot. This is Cassandra Braun (or Cassandra Zaftig as she sometimes goes by, depending on mood) and of course she's the daughter of my character Angela Zaftig (The Blonde Marvel). Anyways, I try to keep costume design simple. I can't remember which old school cartoonist said it but when I was younger they said superhero costumes should be simple in design b/c you have to draw that character dozens of times in a single book and you'll catch hell if you've designed an elaborate, overly complicated costume (See Marvel's Jack of Hearts). But then sometimes my designs can be a little too basic and unflattering. This design shows a lot more skin than my previous attempts and it's doubtful that Cassandra's mom would approve.
Possibhly the best picture I've seen from you. Excellent work - both in colour and form.
Very beautiful fun
The #1 Rule in Comics is " KEEP IT SIMPLE"...Rule #2 " KEEP IT INTERESTING..." Rule #3 Don't Get Too Artsy We Fall Out Of The Story..." and Rule 4 " Make Us Want To Turn The Page..." 4 basic Rules..You can't Go Wrong
I have seen better costumes, but also much worse. Give her shoulder straps and some armour over her vital organs.
I think that outfit would look even hotter on her mother!
Makes sense when you think about it. I mean, this is why we have so much iconic designs like Power Girl's usual outfit generally remain similarly made all these years. Drawing someone with very detailed armor would be insane! I mean, especially in a comic book.
