...So I'm not going to say anything like, "I'm doing art again!" or "I'll definitely be posting some new things soon!" Instead, I'll just say that, although things are very busy, I'm doing better than I have been for a long time and I have all of my crafting supplies spread out and waiting. My apologies for being gone. I do miss the people I knew when I was active on dA and the MLPA (how many of you are still around, I wonder?), and one of the reasons I've been so slow to come back is embarrassment with and disappointment in myself. I have some painting to do. Hopefully, I'll be seeing you around!

Kind of. The last year or so has been difficult thanks to unemployment, depression, and less than stellar life circumstances, but my roommate and I have moved to a better neighborhood and I'm trying to get back into the swing of doing arty things. It's slow going. I hope to complete a couple of warm-up ponies in the next week and, if those go well, move on to commissions. Not that I have anything important to say, but I know I've been around the internet less lately than usual. The job search continues (and continues to grow more discouraging).  My flatmate and I have moved into a much nicer apartment in northeast DC; I've never lived anywhere so thoroughly urban and there's some culture shock going on.  Leaving the apartment is somewhat intimidating, too, since I seem to have at least one unsettling encounter with a stranger each time I go out.
