"Roger left his room, wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and sandals, and began walking towards the front door, whistling jovially. One by one, everyone began to notice him and stop what they're doing. A dozen eyes followed him without exception across his entire trek. No one said or did anything. They assumed he'd be smarter than to go outside in the middle of a storm like this, yet he did. Jessica was the first to snap out of her gaze, and go after him.
"What the hell are you doing? You're gonna freeze out there!"
Roger turned back, a wide smile on his face. Despite his grin, his discomfort was obvious in the way that he moved, in the way that he shivered.
"It doesn't matter, none of it does!"
He kept walking.
Jessica and everyone else in the house was too hesitant and confused to follow until he was long gone."
