If you anyone has extra time on their hands, then you should check out this novel http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Sword_Art_Online#Volume_1_-_Aincrad_.28Full_Text. I thought this might peak everyone's interest, because the story is based in a fantasy environment.
The story itself is a little dark, and the storyline for the first two volumes are jumbled, but other then that I would say its something to look at. If anyone is interested in reading everything in order I can list the chapters to read later.
