A gull fleeing a ball of dirt being thrown at it from the side.

I wish I had a better camera for the trip, so I could actually get good full-res versions of my shots.

If you could up the contrast between the bird and the sand, that'd be good. The sand's kind of grayish, and with the gray on the wings...it doesn't really blend, but the gull doesn't stand out as much as it should. The outline should be clearer, I guess. Either way, it's an excellent shot. ^^ And I like your cropping job.

I'm in love with this composition, but unfortunately, because I'm no photographer, I am unable to give anymore feedback than that.

Ha, reminds me of one of my bird pics.

Good job.

By the way, what watermark program do you use? I'm looking for a good one, but I'm short on cash...

Photoshop :P.

Or, if you're low on cash, but high on morals, you can download The GIMP at [link]

Just make another text layer, set it to black or white, depending on the background, and slide the layer tranparencies/opaquacies down until it's barely visible. BTW, a shortcut for is to hold down alt and then press 1 6 9.

Thank ya for the help!

My morals have been...slightly low for quite a while, so I kind of play behind the scenes with the whole program thing...

But thanks for the link and all.

I've tried the Photoshop bit, but I'll have to work on that again I suppose. Always looking for a quick fix! =)

Wow, this is a really cool picture. I like the angle a lot, and the gull looks more elegant than they normally do. It's also odd to see one with a black head.. they're always all white or patchy gray where I am!

I originally shot this where the ground was completely horizontal. I later decided that the slant would make things more dynamic and so cropped it that way.

Yeah, there are some odd, annoying, and stupid gulls down at South Padre Island. Some kid punched one when it got too close. Another one tossed a penny off his hotel room balcony and a gull swopped by, ate the thing, and dropped dead from the sky a few seconds later.
