Certainly...

Now the first thing that attracted me is the lack of energy. The guitarist is releasing a lot of energy but you did not manage to capture it all. It's like you merely "photostated" the action instead of "drawing" it out. Photostated here means generic.

Imagine if you were to draw it out (nevermind if you don't have the skills to), how would you compose the drawing? In my point of view, I would have closed- up on the hands & guitar with the face out of focus and barely within the frame (or cropped a bit). For this, you should get close to the guitarist and use a wide-angle lense that would dramatize the perspectives. This will give the impression that the angle of the shot is slanted=dynamic. The layout should be a horizontal one.

One thing I've noticed in your other photographs is that most of them are in portrait layout and are "scene" shots. You should make use of design elements such as space, cropping, overlapping, etc...
Don't just shoot a photo of the overall situation. Here's a fav deviation of a person playing a guitar for you to study:

Hope that helps...

I only had a 50mm for this event and wasn't authorized to go onto the stage, plus there is a grated orchestra pit that extends several feet beyond the stage, so my options were very limited.

Using a more dynamic angle is something I definitely should've tried. Need to keep that in mind next time.

Thank you very much for the critique!

Very nice lighting and timing, yet again. I think the picture could stand to be brightened though, and that little yellow wire thing sticking out of his guitar (I don't know my guitar terminology, sorry) should be toned down a bit so it doesn't draw any attention away from what is otherwise a wicked picture. =) Nice work! All of these concert photos have come out very nicely.

Yeah, I was considering brightening it at some point, but haven't gotten to it since no one's pointed it out. Will do it now.

very cool, again, very good timing for the pose and excellent lighting.

if i really were looking for something bad to say, it'd be "crop a tiny bit off the lower edge, so the guy is located a bit more towards the lower edge of the pic"... but that's just looking for a negative thing to say ^^;

think i'll fave this one though :headbang:

it's actually jakle, cool bokeh and composition, seems a little blurry, but you definitely did save your best for last.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I had to unsharpen this guy twice. That's how blurry it was originally.
