Little Treasure

By
A Dragon lays on his back admiring his new acquisition of shining precious metals and stone. A new little treasure to add to his collection.

A piece I did many years ago as a drawing for the dragon portfolio. Finally had the chance to bring it to life with color.

I love the pose. You never see a dragon like this, it's unique. I will say that it took me a second to even notice the focal point of the image (Which I assume is the thing they're holding) If the strings and the hair on it were starkly different than the body color it would stand out more and catch the eye. The dragons anatomy is really wonderful, and I love their flowy hair on the ground.

Everything here is just gorgeous. The expression, eyes, and wonderfully shaped anatomy.
