Hi my name is Jordan King. I'm in a band called * ALL THE KING CHEETAHS *. We just finished recording an album and have been searching artwork everywhere. I ran across this yesterday and thought YES!!! it would be an awesome album cover for our first album......with your permission of course. You would also be credited in bold

Absolutely astonishing. The colors are well drawn.

Now I have an question; is this a male or female? I can't tell from the view on the angle.

This is simply awesome. The pose is elegant without being submissive or gender determined. Also quite original. I'll need to learn about king cheetahs.

The king cheetah was developed from the Egyptian pharaoh's domesticating the cheetah... those domestic cats gained stripes instead of spots for some unknown reason... when the cheetah was bred back into the wild cheetah's the gene for the strips went dormant, and only shows sometimes... they were the Pharaoh's Cheetah, thus King Cheetah. Useless info, but... that is a really beautiful drawing.

They're really rare from what I understand. I have only seen a few pictures.

extremely rare. It's because it follows a rare strand that has a freak mutation. All cheetahs are closely related so it's a strand that should be found in all cheetahs.. but it's untrackable. So when it appears it's very special.

apparently it was actually a full breed but the majority seemed to die off, and due to a dire need of inbreeding to reproduce, the sperm count of the male king cheetah is now really low, thus making them rare =3

Their sperm (all cheetahs) has also mutated causing successful breeding to be difficult. :3 Their's are misshaped and have two tails now. This happens after years of inbreeding. : D

inbreeding is a shame, its destroying all the pretty animals =( (well not all, there's poachers and bastards helping the desecration of these things)

jah... it also explains why pure bred dogs have so many health problems. : O

it does indeed, mind you, everything is indirectly inbred in my humble opinion anyhow...
