This is one of those ideas I've been wanting to do for a long time and finally got a chance to do up a painting of Bastet.

Just one more to add to the list of Egyptian gods and goddess I wish to paint.

Oh Lovely. Will you be doing Set anytime soon, I would love to see how you would portray him in your art ^_^.

Oh lets spread the word then, and maybe she will make a pic of him :). Fun fact I read that one interpretation of Set is of a fennec fox.

The origin of Set is a mystery. He may be based on a breed of dog, as suggested by the unusual docked-looking square ears. I like the idea that his head is actually based on an Aardvark, but that is not all that likely. He may be a combination of a few things, but Fennec Foxes have ears that are far too different from the very distinctive ears that Set has.

Ah, this left me speechless! No works could truly encompass the beauty of this work! :o (Eek) I am so glad that you have finally done Bastet, she is so fascinating. I really admire your original interpretation of the goddess.

stunningly gorgeous. I love your animorphs. Also... I love Bastet. Though She is usually depicted as a black cat, this (Egyptian Mau style) is still stunning.

It's a beautiful animal, I'm just not a fan of "human boobs" on female anthros.

I have a Bastet stone idol in my living room; she's on of my fave goddeses. I like your version, full of strengh and power (c'mon, look at those abs!) Is curious that your version of Bastet's supposedly fiercer colleague, Sekhmet, looks more sensual, one of Bastet own qualities.
Anyway, great versions, great job, and great gallery!

Lovely! I like how you took a different approach and made her silver instead of black like most depictions do her. If anything that makes the jewelry stand out but not too much so you see all the details and shape of her body.
