Back in the early 90's, there was this popular show I used to watch as a kid. Now, as an adult, I still enjoy the series sense of humour and I think it's a real shame that the show was cancelled after only one season.
But let's get to the point.
Around the age of 5 I got my hands on the Pizza Cats game released for NES, which instantly became my favourite. Unfortunately, I didn't really know what its plot was, as the game was almost entirely Japanese. It didn't bother me too much at first, as I couldn't yet read at all, but it soon became a nuisance. The game was never officially released in the West, and although several fan-made translation patches appeared over the years, all of them were far from being complete.
I've been trying to learn Japanese for quite some time now, and only recently it occurred to me that this game is using only the basic alphabets: Hiragana and Katakana, which aren't too hard to read. After looking up some words in a dictionary I realized that I was actually able to understand great parts of the game's text. Then I analyzed one of the existing translation patches and it turned out that replacing the original text was fairly easy. After finding the hex represantations of most characters in the game, I was ready for some action. After some hard work (I could only utilize as much text space as it was originally available in the game rom, and it was always much too little to properly convey its original meaning), I finally made a complete English translation patch for this awesome game.
Now that I look at it, It feels strange that It took me just three weeks to translate the game, when I had to wait 17 years before I was able to do it.
As I don't think this is the proper place to upload this patch, I'll just leave a link to the preview I've posted on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmXZZP…
Hope some of you like it!

Installing new characters
Important information:
Please note that after adding new characters to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, you may need to start a new game to make them work properly. Sorry for not mentioning that in the readme files.
Green Goblin finally released!
After taking almost a half-year break from this project, it's finally complete! The movie version of Green Goblin and probably my final contribution to Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is now available for download. His powers are based on the MUA2 Green Goblin, however they've been modified in various extents, with the Xtreme being completely new.You can find the mod here: http://darkmarkzx.deviantart.com/art/Goblin-Marvel-Ult-Alliance-175198759?q=sort%3Atime+gallery%3Adarkmarkzx&qo=1
Venom gets an update!
I recently got the 6" MacGargan Venom action figure. At first I wasn't very interested in it, but soon I grew to like it and was inspired to give my mesh a similar tail. What was supposed to take me a few hours kept me busy for several evenings, but in the end I'm glad I managed to find enought time to do it. I should have more free time now, so I think I'll spend it on making another character, this time using a different modelling technique. Wish me luck! The newest version of my Venom mod can be found here: http://darkmarkzx.deviantart.com/art/Venom-1-2-Marvel-Ult-Alliance-155605069

I definitely remember that show. It was one of my favorite anime cartoons of the early 90s. It's a classic.
