After the Aloha Comrade incident, T.K. decided to hang up his cooking for good out of shame and embarrassment. From time to time, he cooked for and only for the Louds when he wanted to give Lynn Sr. a break. In high school, Krystal was adamant about spending time with the former dreadhead, so she asked him to sign up for Home Ec. T.K. was immediately against the idea until Krystal had to get the real reason that he didn't want to. Finally, he decided to join after seeing his girlfriend so saddened by his refusal. He was the only boy in the class but no one decided to point that out mockingly for obvious reasons. His specialty in Southern and breakfast cuisine made him a natural with his female classmates. Krystal, in particular, was shocked but proud by his cooking knowledge.
