Princess Luna: Why does everypony wear socks?

Well, they used to wear socks when they use to like it or not, but know matter how exactly what they use to do, but as you wear it, you can't just pull it with your teeth, as when you're a unicorn or an alicorn, you used magic, if you're not, they don't.

This picture of Princess Luna looks great, but at least there sparkles everywhere, but I believe that she is wearing socks with sparkles, and she pulls it with her teeth.
She suppose to use magic not pulling it with teeth, because the socks rips it appart and it gets holes in it?!

All ponies wear four socks on their hooves, and humans wears two socks on their feet.
