Description

"I always thought they were lighthouses. Billions of lighthouses... stuck at the far end of the sky."

This is fan art for To The Moon. Go play it if you're willing to get lost in thought.
Good music to go with it.

I'll start by saying that this is amazing, I played the game that you based this on a long time ago and the emotional still resides in me. I can honestly say that your artwork has reawakened these beautiful feelings, and I would like to sincerely thank you for this piece. I think I'll split the rest of the critique into segments for each category.

Vision: You were able to portray the wonder of this scene, the old light house on the water, the stars shining softly, but most of all the moon glowing brightly.

Originality: I've seen multiple works like this, but the simple touch of River and John in the light house makes it more unique than most others, making it seem happy rather than forlorn or melancholy.

Technique: Beautifully executed, the night time lighting is fantastic and the glow of lights is beautiful. It isn't drop dead astounding, but it does have a subtle beauty to it.

Impact: The artwork in and of itself may not mean so much to a random person who's never heard of the game, but to myself, someone who thoroughly enjoyed the game and still enjoys the soundtrack, this is downright amazing. This has rekindled many of the emotions of the game in me, I am typing all of this with a teary smile on my face.

Thank you for this art, I think I'll go listen to the game's music and relax.
