Nailed it. I got some advice from someone in a fusing group to offset the layers a bit at the corner of the eyes, and that was was the trick of it. This pendant is 1.5" wide, ~2.25" tall with the loop, and 3/8" deep. It consists of 6 layers of glass all stacked 'just so' so as it melts and collapses down it creates the creases of the eye and pupil and such. It's hard to tell in still images, but the iris is formed by two layers of Dichroic glass to give a greater illusion of depth. I used cbs corkscrew pattern sheet dichro that I acid etched the iris pattern on. You may spot the the clear elmers glue that holds everything together until it gets fired, as well as the bit of fiber paper that maintains the hole where the necklace can slip through. The fiber paper is impregnated with ceramic fibers that keeps the glass from sticking so the paper doesn't burn and the hole keeps its shape. This was fired to 1385 and held for 10 minutes.
