Reading: peer-reviewed journals
A lot has happened since my last entry (over three years ago now). I moved, got married (coming up on our 2nd anniversary), and started graduate school. I've been spending a lot of my time in the field and in the lab, and haven't had much time in the past wile for making or posting art.
I started doing woodcarving in the summer of 2010, and have been doing occasional projects ever since. As of the time of writing, I've only posted a few samples, but there should be more in the future. I have really enjoyed carving work--especially since it's much more portable than watercolor. I'm hoping to start carving bone in the near future.
Apart from carving, I have been doing occasional commissions for people to keep from getting rusty. On that note, if one or two of you is interested in an art trade, I'd be up for it (maybe not in a timely fashion--but such is life!).
Wish me luck on my research! If all goes well, I should graduate at the end of December.
