Description

An old dwarf tells the legend of Athe Pagedwave the best.

"Our Fortress, the last bastion of the dwarves, was built on a volcano. Aye, that's right, the last. See, our once great kingdom had been wiped out by those nasty elves. And there we were, under siege by the largest host o' elves you had ever laid eyes upon! They rode all sorts of exotic warbeasts. Giant elephants, frogs, giant mosquitos, and so on. Despite havin' such a great host, their army was all but useless. See, our great fort was completely sealed, except for a single entrance that led through our trap riddled corridors.

The elves knew better, and so, they stood outside in the rain, waiting.

That's when HE arrived, Rabab Shintundra, the great worm. He descended from the storm clouds like a bird o' prey and immediately set upon the great host o' elves! I thought it was quite funny watchin' all those long eared buggers tryin' to run away from this beast on their giant frogs. Oh! Aye! The beast was a mean one, it belched fire upon the elves, and though most o' them could avoid the flames, it wasn't long before all the lands around our volcano fortress were up in flames! It was like gazin' down into a scene from hell. Elves, fire, an' a bloody monster, dancin' about in the rain.

Suddenly, SHE came! Athe Pagedwave, on her giant mosquito! Oh! You shoulda seen it, lad! A great battle in the sky between the giant worm and a mosquito ridin' bow-elf! Under her, most o' the lands were now burning and most o' the elves had fled from their positions, leavin' their dead behind. But not her. She fought like a dwarf, with not a care in the world! Aye! She was somethin' magnificent to behold, an' I woulda thought her to be a dwarf if'n I didn't see the pointy ears for myself! She blocked several bursts o' flame from that great beast, and from her mosquito, began loosin' arrows from a beard's length away! After two arrows to the wings, she shot the beast in the head and pulled the brain out o' it! Aye! Just like pullin' a purrin' maggot out o' it's hole!

At least... That's what I was told... I had my hands full settin' up the ballista to shoot them both out o' the sky! Har har har!"
