Description

Item Name:-  The sarcophagus of Oh-Bai

Abilities:- hypnosis, mummification, mind control/enslavement

Description:- One of the many sarcophaguses containing bandages owned by the pharaoh Oh-Bai meant to be used for women who were part of his harem.

The coffin emits a hypnotic signal that compels people (especially women) to lie in them.

Once a person lies in the coffin, the bandages rise and wrap around the body, mummifying the victim. The magic in the bandages will then reshape the persons figure that resembles the one on the sarcophagus lid.

The sarcophagus lid will then transform to look like the person inside the sarcophagus. Egyptian hieroglyphics will then appear on the lid with instructions for the person within the coffin, turning them into a mindless servant of the pharaoh ghost Oh-Bai.

History: During his life, Pharaoh Oh-Bai believed he was God's gift to women and that he was the pinnacle of manhood. Oh-Bai’s palace was filled with one of the largest harems in history. Oh-Bai was also known as one of the earliest rulers ever to support women working; however, this was mainly so he could spend more time with women rather than talk business with old geysers.

Before his death, Oh-Bai had planned to fill his crypt with countless female-shaped sarcophaguses so that the many women who loved and adored him would be by his side after his death. However, after his death, all those sarcophaguses remained empty.

While Oh-Bai believed he was the sexiest and most beloved man alive, his citizens had a different opinion of him. Most people, especially the women in his harem, had seen Oh-Bai as a sexist pig who only ever cared about expanding his harem. Oh-Bai’s actions in creating a council full of women caused him to shun his more experienced and influential advisors, and without their help, the kingdom's government fell to pieces. The only reason why people followed Oh-Bai’s wishes was because he was the pharaoh, and if they had not followed Oh-Bai’s wishes, it would have likely led to their deaths.

Once Oh-Bai died, there was no extravagant funeral procession like most rulers had, instead, there was a quick ceremony of bare-bones per the kingdom's requirements. Once the ceremony had finished, the kingdom could focus on repairing all the damage caused by Oh-Bai. Before closing the tomb per Oh-Bai’s wishes, the servants asked anyone in Oh-Bai’s harem if they loved Oh-Bai enough to be buried with him. There was a unanimous “no” from the group of women, Oh-Bai’s tomb was closed, and the world moved on.

In the afterlife, Oh-Bai waited a long time for the many women from his harem to join him, but when none appeared, his spirit returned to the realms of the living to find out what was going on.

When Oh-Bai got to his crypt and found all the sarcophaguses for his female servants empty, he became furious and tried to leave his crypt to get answers but found he was bound to his tomb, unable to leave. Thus, Oh-Bai waited many centuries waiting for someone to enter his tomb.

Eventually, a mummy queen named Femi ventured into Oh-Bai’s tomb, hoping to meet more of her kind and become friends, but Oh-Bai had other ideas in mind.

Being alone for such a long time in the tomb made Oh-Bai mad and caused him to make a very dark conclusion about his mortal life. Oh-Bai believed he had given the women of his harem too much freedom, and he would no longer give any of his women any freedom at all.

When Femi entered Oh-Bai’s tomb, she found herself drawn to one of the empty female-shaped sarcophaguses. As she got closer, the door of the sarcophagus opened, and to Femi, the insides of the hard stone coffin looked extremely comfy. So she turned around and leaned back into the coffin, compelled to put her arms over her chest.

As Femi began to drift into a hypnotic slumber, the bandages that were in the coffin started to rise, wrapping themselves around Femi and turning her into Oh-Bai’s first mind-controlled servant.

Once Femi was under Oh-Bai’s control, the ancient ghost got Femi to inform him of the world outside his crypt and how he could draw more people to his tomb. It was at this time that Femi told him about the modern portable communication device that mortals called “a mobile phone.” Looking at Femi’s phone and smiling, Oh-Bai realised his tomb would be full very soon.

Artist Note:-Femi belongs to Albynassa who put a request in "The Fated bag". Here is a full picture of the sarcophagus lid
