Dante Mandrake 7-17-16 c by Dark-SpectrumDS Dante Mandrake 7-17-16 c by Dark-SpectrumDS
OC drawing practice with references. This is my OC Dante Mandrake crossing his arms again. This is my attempt at doing various overlay techniques from graphite to digital. Still working on it. I may go back in to adjust periodically. That's the good thing about deviantART at least. It's very easy to update one piece without having to reupload it and have it notify watchers which is something no other place does as far as I know.

Haha thanks! I'm working on it! I'd always have essentially the same expressions on a lot of my characters, especially their mouths. I'm happy about the progress! :D

I don't even have a problem with an artist who has a strong facial style that can sometimes be repetitive. It's about the individual piece and yours are looking great.

Nice! The graphite and the digital colors are really working well together. The cooler pink/purple tones in the shadows really add depth of color.  It still comes off very painterly in a way that many colorized sketches often don't. :D
