The isolation of the octopus and man in the ocean creates a wonderful balance in the overall picture. The octopus is the main focal point of the picture but somehow, I never saw the man who was about the be attacked. So i think there can be improvement on that. The ambience itself, with the dark and gloomy colours used creates a sense of foreboding and menace which gives the viewer a sense of unease and fear of the giant octopus itself. The texture and colour of the octopus is well executed and so is the contrast between the octopus and man.
