EDIT: Now with a tutorial!!! [link]

Long story - read on, please.
On July 4, at Anime Expo, I picked up this little-known game for Nintendo DS called "9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors." It's about a college kid named Junpei who wakes up trapped in a ship and is forced to play a deadly game with eight others similarly trapped in order to find the escape (But of course, that's never all there is to it). I fell in love with it after about 30 minutes in. It's a visual novel, so the story was the most compelling part of the whole experience. Personally, I thought the escape puzzles were a little on the easy side, but I still enjoyed them immensely.
Each character is forced by the "Gamemaster" of sorts - Zero - to wear a bracelet that identifies each of them with a number and enables them to enter the puzzle rooms. Junpei is no. 5, but no. 2's character is my favorite.
The Aksys games booth at AX had the rare Game + replica Bracelet bundle, but by the time I got mine, they had run out of the watches/bracelets. So I just bought the game.
AFTER PLAYING AND COMPLETING IT, I regretted not paying the Aksys booth a visit sooner, so I just had to make one of these bracelets for myself...
For the main red parts, I used a thick paper board (about 4mm thick) doubled up for support, and cut a hole in each layer to sandwich three painted blue cords in between. The cords are actually from old phone chargers that don't work (Yay for putting trash to good use!).
For the face of the watch/bracelet, I glued a metal keyring to the top for the display, and some black foam pieces for decoration matching the original design. The actual number face is a piece of paper with a little tab on one side so as to be easily removed and replaced, should I ever need another number inserted. The knobs on the sides, usually used to adjust a clock face, are made of dots of hot glue then painted silver.
To fasten the bracelet, I took a paperclip and bent it to form a hook and eye and hot glued the pieces in between the layers. The whole project was finished with some painted on mod podge.

tl;dr
This is a replica bracelet from the game 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors that the characters wear. I decided to make my own replica after the "official" ones from the developer ran out. It's made out of 4mm thick paper board, some foam, a keyring, old phone charger cords, a paperclip, and lots of hot glue and time.
9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors developed by Chunsoft, released in the US by Aksys games. The logo and watch/bracelet design is theirs, the actual physical watch/bracelet is mine. Completed on July 11, 2011.
