Veins Tied Together
My heart screamed again, the foolish stanza
Reaching the galaxy of a maniacal queen--
Mania that I was unaware of
Her claws extracted poems from my throat, the larynx falling through
The marble floor; it became blood-scented fog, beckoning the dragons who
Vowed to mentor our angels, regardless of the art they create
Over the course of an ephemeral century, 14 cities have performed
Multitudinous forms of suicide-- we were the monsters who birthed
That Ragnarök, fucking up the flow of memories
I have been living like a multi-faceted prisoner, given crunchy biscuits
Covered in fake gold to get me in a state of stagnation so that I will
Remain in love with neglect-- I was destined to spread that
Stockholm syndrome, but various deities contorted
Nerves and neurons for reasons that baffle
Trillions of organisms
