actually..... If I have to be precise the location/background was rough 3d base rendered in Octane. Ships and everything else was hand painted haha! I come from traditional background so still balance out how much I actually want or need to use 3D and how much I can pull off with pure painting. Even though it took a long while the process includes also phototextures etc.
