I've been a member of deviantART for a long time now. Five years. Initially I joined to share my artwork with other artists to grow and learn and improve. But my artwork has fallen by the wayside more than once in my life and it has become clear it's not my first love and probably never was.
Then I found writing again. It set me free inside. And here on deviantART I met some amazing writers who helped me grow and learn and improve.denlm
was among the first to improve my prose. Denise, thank you for all you tried to do. I know we had a falling out and all that crap, but I'd like to say thank you for what you tried to do. You set my feet on a path and I've never looked back. I'll always remember you fondly and I regret what I said or did that hurt you. I truly and humbly apologize here, publicly, and hope you will find the wherewithal emotionally and spiritually to forgive me, but I completely understand if you don't. Go your way in peace either way and know I admire your work.WriterOfStuff
came next, but again, something went awry with our friendship. Since the rest of the world can't be crazy, I guess it's me. Jules, I'm sorry for whatever I did you found offensive. I can't ever remember now. I hope you'll forgive me my transgression and I'll go 'head and say I forgive any you committed too, just in case there were some. I miss our talks and seeing your work blossom is a little bit of a pride blossom for me, knowing I might have played some small role in it. Know you helped me too, and I really am glad for the time we had.twilight-apple
is a sweetheart and she's ready to grab the bull by the horns now. Best of luck, Linds. I hope you do great with it.Penfury
is a great writer, a great friend and a great source of encouragement to me. I love ya, Tam, and hope to see you in print soon. Finish one of 'em; there's no stopping it.smygba
is a good man; a great friend and a young man finally on his own, a force to be reckoned with someday. All the best, Dave. You deserve some of it after all you've been through. I'll keep you in my prayers, my friend.za-zen
Love you sweetie, and I have almost from the first. You darned well better not vanish now. I'll give you a scolding you'll not soon forget, young lady!Xcetera
- I almost failed to mention how wonderful you are. How stupid I am!ikkuma
is a fan of my favorite deviation, Sharkey.
Kels, I'm making a promise that if you'll stay in touch with me I'll notify you every time I write a new segment. Deal?
Oh, so many others. So many, over the years. People who've supported me, and whom I've tried to support. But I can't name them all, I'll never sign off. And it is time, the Walrus said, to talk of many things. To move forward apart from this small corner of cyber-space and into another. I've published a couple of eBooks now, and I'll do more as time goes on. My writing takes my time professionally and in hobby now. I have a trilogy planned for next Halloween, and for those who thought Ghost Hunters
-- which still needs a new title, by the way -- was all right and only needed polish, well ... you may yet get your wish. I'm working to have it, Witch Hunt
and a third novel in that series ready for release on Kindle and elsewhere next Halloween. If God is willing and the creek don't rise, that's my plan right now. In the interim there are other novels to write of ghosts and werewolves and things which go bump in the night.
And so the Walrus, goo-goo-gachew, must bid you all adieu. It is time for me to fade into the twilight of deviantART's history. May you all be blessed of God and loved well in your walks on Earth, and I hope to cross paths again with you someday.
In that interest, my email address is darcknyt AT gmail DOT com. My profile page has a button linking to my fiction blog and my author page on Facebook is J. Dane Tyler - Author (logically enough).
Fare thee well, kind friends. Peace and prosperity to you all.
