Douglas Cuddle Toys - Lord Titan Lion Plush

This big lion plush is called Lord Titan and is made by Douglas Cuddle Toys. He is 30" long (excluding his 16" tail), 14" wide and 18" tall. This lion is very well made and is quite soft and cuddly.

Douglas has been making this plush for many years (since at least the early nineties and perhaps before) and he is still available today. I have a couple earlier versions of this plush as well. Separate versions of this plush have also been produced for promotional purposes for Konica and Listerine. I purchased this one on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC Canada in June of 2010. Lond Titan is Douglas' model #482. Douglas also in the past made a larger 5 foot long version of this plush facing the opposite direction called Monarch. I believe Monarch has been discontinued.

Forgot to ask... do you have the big Cheetah that matches this guy? :?
dapumakat's avatar
No, I would love to get one, but I have yet to find one for sale. I know it exists, hopefully one day I will find one. Do you have one?

Yes, I do have one but I do not have the cub that was made to go with her. Instead, I bought a Douglas Anita Cheetah cub and have been using that as her baby. :D

Do you have a photo of your big Douglas Cuddle Toys cheetah?

In case you hadn't seen her yet, here is my Douglas Classic Cheetah plush that I uploaded to my gallery: www.deviantart.com/art/Douglas…

I don't have a photo of her yet but it is on my to-do list.

That is like me, I have lots of stuff I still need to take pictures of. It is a matter of finding the time, that is the problem. I can completely relate.

Lol, thank you for understanding. :XD: I'd love to be able to take pictures all day every day of my stuff but time and lighting don't allow it. I have tried to make some indoor photo areas with lamps and stuff but I was never happy with the outcome so have to rely on natural lighting. It makes getting pictures of my stuff that more difficult when I have to wait for days where I have free time AND good natural lighting.

Ah, well... I'll get photos of everybody up eventually. I've got lots of Douglas and Lion King plushes that I have barely even touched on yet. It's nice to have fun projects lined up though, right? :)

I've got an earlier version of this guy as well. :) He has the velvet-type material for the undersides of his paws and was made in the U.S.A. rather than China like the newer ones.

I have a version like that, with sort of velvet like paw pads. I also have the larger version "Monarch", which was also made in America. The Monarch Lion that I have actually uses similar material to this one, even though it was made in the U.S.A.

That's cool! I wonder if at some point there was a Monarch that had the velvet-type paw pads as well. I was able to see one in person years ago (HUGE) but I cannot recall the detail of what his paws were made of. How many Monarchs and Lord Titans do you have? They're beautiful but they take up so much room. :XD:
