I like this ... a lot.
How do you take an infra red shot? Do you need special camera/kit or is it a photoshop effect?

To take an infrared shot you definitely need a filter (I used a Hoya R72 for this one) and you also need to test if your camera "sees" infrared light - if you see the LED of a usual TV remote light up when you point your camera on it (while you press a button on the remote, of course) then your camera is good for the job. You may also need a tripod, cause IR photographs usually imply long exposure times (1 or 2 seconds at ISO80) and Photoshop for later processing.
