On A Mission From God

Here's another commission pic for my good buddy Kent Nelson aka Roadrunner_KN.

Jake: Of course it's got a lot of pickup...
Elwood: It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
[a brief thinking pause while Jake Blues lights a cigarette]
Jake: Fix the cigarette lighter.

Hope yall dig it,

Oh My God, and the Mission from Him!

That has got to be one of the best movies EVER!
With the best actors EVER!
Making the best jokes EVER!
And playing the best music EVER!

And now, there's a fantastic pic of the Blues brothers, with the Bluesmobile! Which is the best car EVER!

I mean, can the Batmobile drive under a river and pick up a redneck boat full of explosives!? I don't think so!

An all time favorite movie. I lived in Chicago at the time and knew most of the neighborhoods, although some scenes were shot in Milwaukee (I have no idea why). John Belushi and his brother Jim are from Wheaton IL, a suburb west of Chicago. I had seen John and Dan on stage at Second City long before they became famous as part of the first SNL cast.

For several years I was a Blues Brother on Halloween. It was great until others started to be Men In Black and got us confused since the look is very similar - except a Blues Brother always wears a hat.

God I love this movie. It always puts me in a better mood.

This pic is fantastic! Jake looks like he's plotting, and Elwood is ...just... off in Elwood Land. These are my boys!

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.

Freaking beautiful! ...MORE!!!... please... XD

One of my all-time favorite movies ever (My dad got me hooked on it 'cause I used to watch it on TV with him.) Did you know that Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia in Star Wars IV/V/VI & Angela from Family Guy) was in the movie? (She was the one in the car that blew up the building in that one scene with John Candy.)

"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. I am that which Is, which Was, and is Yet To Come, and you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my Vengeance upon you!"

My very favorite movie. I faved this so fast my mouse caught on fire. I don't think the space shuttle re-entering Earth's atmosphere could have matched that.
