I wanted to share some insight into the creation of the Ghostbusters comic. Above you can see the thumbnails, pencils and final colors, by the talented :iconluisdelgado:

Step 1: After reading :iconerikburnham:'s script, I begin to research locations, props and other visuals. I strive to make the backgrounds, landmarks and other props as accurate as possible. For this sequence (Crybaby capture) I did my best to capture the look and essence of a bridge located near Doylestown, Ohio, in an area known as Rogue's Hollow. An actual crybaby bridge. With all that info I sketch out small pages, focusing on what is most important to showcase in each panel. Leaving room for dialog, as well as using elements in the panel to direct the eyes.

Step 2: I print out the panels and clean them up. Since I come from an animation background, I really make an effort to have the characters on model. I also add labels and other elements to help with the coloring process, and cause I'm pretty obsessive about that stuff, just ask Luis ;) lol

Step 3: Luis creates magic!

I'll post another for issue 10 in the next few days. Hope you like the process showcased here :)

That's amazing! And so insightful. I always wondered about the creative process of a comic book. Looking forward for another one.

Here's something I'd like to see: Peter Venkman going on "Crossing Over with John Edward" and really letting him have it.

Wowzers. I love your art, and the color! It's the main reason I got attracted to the GB comic, I stayed for the awesome.

does drawing the proton constantly get super irritating? It sure looks like it would..
