I think LMS would work better as an open world rpg game rather than a movie. The amount of lore you put into Gabe's universe would be easier to present in a game. Rpg games done right have always had more room to lore to fit in than a movie series (ex. The Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Horizon Zero Dawn).
Dan...haven't clicked on your page for a while and it looks like things have picked up for you (good job btw.. hard work pays off). Quick question for you. I read a ton of manga/mahnwa/comics etc. and I think LMS will be a fresh approach to inject some originality and uniqueness in the US market. Having said that my question is......(drum roll) Would you create an LMS series chapter by chapter jump style weekly or monthly release, or would you release a huge volume at once?
Granted you've probably been asked this repetitively but I'm just curious. From a readership point of view, I would purchase a volume, but would you have time to launch an LMS monthly or quarterly basis chapter release? A chapter or mini chapter release that expanded (or detoured) the main storyline in the LMS world and also developed upon the characters featured in the volume release....that would be very cool. I figure based on your work you're an outside the box kind of guy looking for fresh and/or new concepts in your work, granted I see a lot of nostalgic inspiration in your work too. I bring it up because I don't know if you're gonna give us a one and done series beginning to end in 1 or 2 volumes, or expand and build on to this world you've created.
I remember you mulling over what could LMS be turned into i.e. (video game, graphic novel, movie, etc.), and I think you have established a good storyline start with characters in it that you could write a whole volume on each of them alone (granted I'm not suggesting that). I know it's easy to say (err....type) and much more difficult to plan and draw (create), but the world of LMS is as big as you make it since you are technically "The One Above All" in it. I figure if you created side story lines on a monthly or quarterly basis it could allow you to focus on the main storyline without getting too bogged down with all of your character development in the volume.
meh...if you've done all this ignore this post lol.... but take it for what this two cents is worth... I'm just a faceless internet opinion good luck to you and work hard. Look forward to what you do next.
