This is the first time that I have ever gone and thrown some colors on a Joe Mad piece. In the past I always felt like there really was no need for it, being that I was always a fan not just of his work but that of the people who he would work with on colors. From Liquid to Arnold Tsang, and all others I would always feel like it's already great, so no need to even try. But now I think that way of thinking is not very good. It doesn't matter what others have been able to do with a piece that you find to be already great, but to give a piece your own individual take on it.
For this one, I always got the feeling that this would be taking place somewhere up top in the skyscrapers. Where wolverine would be Jumping from Spider-man's web into who knows what danger.
I was also thinking about throwing in some random painted in Sentinels flying in the bg about to shoot them down, also giving the impression that Wolverine is probably more than likely jumping, not to a long fall, but rather to an enemy Sentinel. But I think that this might come off as too busy in the background, so I went without them in there.
Maybe I'll update the piece with some Sentinels anyway just to see if I can make it work with it as well maybe tweak the perspective of the building more. Anyway, This is my take on the piece.
