What i see here is a beautiful artwork. Many hours are put into it and i can see that you had a clear vision on how this work should have ended up.
From your mind to paper.
A renaissance dress is always a beautiful thing to see, especially with so much details. The outer dress has allot to show. While the bodice is simple, no need for much shading and details.
The shading on the hair is what strikes me the most. It is clear, fluent and thoughtfully done. Yet i see that it could have been done better, more strokes. More lines and a much softer hand could have guided the shading.
The details on the dress are marvelous and fit perfectly with each piece of the clothing. I like the way you put different types of shade on each part of the clothing, distracting the eyes to look at every single detail. I am more then impressed. But once again, the details that where out such as the flowers could have been added for more eye candy. More shading means more complexity and more for the eye to see.
The body and posture is drawn with much precision, she has posture, she has elegance and she has grace. The hands are drawn with a good body-height composition and i have to give you points for that. Yet, in my eyes the legs may appear a little bit too short.Though, this may be only me. I do have to say that i notice the small detailing/shading on the shoes and they are nicely done.
There is no need for background and she is well centered. Only the right(down) side is off, but not everything can get into one picture. It is all normal. I believe that she is standing on some steps? It would have been good to shade and complete them, because leaving her standing in semi air and you can clearly see the sketching left behind. For that i must say a minus, because it does not look like the drawing is done. While in fact, it is.
All in all i have to say that this is one of your best drawings that i have seen from you. Aside from ''Dancing'' ''Adventurous'' and ''Curiosity'' which i honestly love the shading and detailing done on them.
Good job Elizabeth. Hope to see more amazing artworks from you.
