Bio

Danielle Williams is a traditional artist with a passion for animals who spends entirely too much time having conversations with her cats. A lover of all things bright and colorful, Danielle specializes in mixed media drawings, and often utilizes bold color pallets in a variety of styles. She also enjoys sculpting, photography and painting, and can often be found under an avalanche of colored pencils and gel pens. After years spent working in unfulfilling jobs, she is finally realizing her dream to pursue a degree in Art. Feel free to browse her gallery and tell her what you think!

Artist Statement

It’s fascinating to challenge preconceptions about size and impact in art. I create mixed media drawings measuring only 2 ½ by 3 ½ inches. Finding an engaging composition or perspective with such a small canvas is a constant battle between my intentions and ability, but each undertaking is exhilarating. I love tinkering with color, and bringing the subtlety of shadows and light into a saturated riot.
Nature is my strongest influence and a regular focus in my work. I am constantly astounded by its infinite capacity for combining beauty and function. I have recently been exploring Art Nouveau as well, and often try to bring its signature elements of movement into a piece.
