abstract 2007 by daniellek abstract 2007 by daniellek
ok... now 2007. (see 2001 before)

as i said im in a abstract mood when there is a big change in my life, a lot of emotions bubbleing up. this was done in the summer. as some of you know me they also know what happened in the summer. the celiac freaking me out and end of school... which is always hard to leave something you knew for years. but hell... since then stuff only got better and my diet is actually fun... it does feel good not eating junk food XD

my parents loved this as well... now they bug me that i dont draw them more. although i did start on a huge one but im doing what i love best at the moment.

right now im working on 2 diffrent pictures that i love. felt weird not posting anything since my SATs were over and i got all the free time in the world. but i still manage to keep busy all the time somehow XD anyways... working at the top of my speed on them and hope to post soon.

anyways... happy new year everyone!

acrylic on canvas.

Awesome work Danielle. like "GuruShastry" said, the colors come out great with a great twirl. The "eye" on the top right is intense and reminds me of a Hindu goddess "kaali maa" (google it). This art probably needs to be looked at from a different angle. It resembles the way the eye's of the Hindu deity is painted. Intense, staring with emotions you cannot explain.

Great work! Can I use this for my web-store?

Dhruv J.

I'm not usually into abstract art, but this is really impressive. I love it.

You did this :P it looks really nice ! I'm doing art as well on school so i now that it takes quite a long time to produce something like this :)I love the colors that you've used.
On thing that i do see though is when i enlarge the painting, you still see quite a lot of the white canvas....

Looks somewhat south-american, tropical. Colors and lines that make me think of Costa Rica, for some reason.
Perhaps because when my father was there, some 10 years ago, he brought me a puppet of a parrot, which is kind of semilar to your drawing.
Anyway, its tropical, that what it is, and I like it a lot. In small it looks better, and I'd strenghten the contrast if I were you, it would be much more, well, vivid! anywas, maybe you should paint a small scale piece of that style, and give it to me.

Well done Danielle.

yeah i know... had to take a picture of it with a camera so its kinda blurry in the top and... rough in the middle. and i did play with the cotrast... more seems a bit to strong for my taste.
it just rolled this way really... i see a very angry rooster here actually XD a colorful one.... i just seem to have a hard time sticking to a few colors when im not drawing anything specific actually... although im working now on a black, white and red picture... on a huge canvas... will take forever. hmmm.... now i wonder if i can actually hold myself from adding more colors o.O'''

anyways.... how cute... at first its hard to imagen you with a puppet in any age and then that dog from the toilet roll comes to mine and all the pictures you have of it XD

next time you happen to visit you can see the actual version if you want... it looks better :)

i would like to know what you like in abstracts though... i'll ask you in msn about it...
