Despite the best efforts of my depression, a hurricane, my gallbladder, two wisdom teeth, a rebellious jaw, and a number of other things I've since forgotten, I'm still alive. :)
Sorry for the long radio silence. My interest in DA has fallen down something fierce (not helped by the fact my old documents are on a computer we don't use anymore), not to mention a number of life events taking priority, but I'm still around.
As for what's happened since we last chatted...
* I had surgery to remove my gallbladder in 2017, followed by the removal of my two left wisdom teeth in 2018 (they were impacted and one was "hot", resulting in unbearable amounts of pain).
* My brother Charles quit his job at Toys R Us in 2018 due to crappy scheduling (often 2-3 days a week and about 15 hours total) and the fact he had to take multiple buses to even get to work. He soon got a decidedly better job at a storage facility near where we live (only to later be let go), then after a long while decided to go to community college to learn A/C repair along with starting (mostly online) classes to get his high school diploma. He got hired at his current job in 2022, which pays amazingly well but has some crazy long hours.
* My mother, sadly, went through a stretch of seizures and memory loss starting in mid-2017 (thankfully has been very infrequent since late 2018). She was also diagnosed with lung cancer last year, but by all indication has kicked its ass. :)
While I've visited this site rarely since 2016, on several occasions I've come back to clean up my notifications and update the byline of my page. I've also taken the time to update my FFN profile (https://fanfiction.net/u/1581696/). I'm still writing when the inspiration strikes, which admittedly is far less frequent than it was a decade ago but has been boosted by the quite frankly insane work by Spacebattles that is The Infinite Loops Project (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanFic/TheInfiniteLoops).
