1973 Camaro Z28 Graphite
Graphite pencils on 12X18 Fabriano Artistico, 140 LB Hot Press Watercolor Paper, 30 hours even.

The sheet of paper was 12X18, but i made the drawing smaller so that it would fit into a standard mat opening of 11X14 as presented here.

I think i did a pretty good job with this one. My proportions are close, but it still took me thirty hours to draw this.

Most of the transitions in the value changes came out okay, but i am still not as smooth as i want to be. The pavement looks too sketchy, and i have too many passages that do not look right here. How can values between dark and light just vanish like that when you shoot a photograph of your work?

The original looks better than this, smoother, but i am still responsible for the presentation of the work. I’m getting frustrated that i cannot present my work better than this.
