I was about to say this looks like their work. So you're a big fan of the 123Klan?

Did you draw this out 1st before importing it in 3DSMax or freehand it in the program, like with Cinema4D?

Yeah, 123Klan was certainly inspiring. This was begun as splines drawn within 3D Studio Max over an imported photo of real world graffiti.

The way it looked it didn't seem like it was using a real Photo as a reference. Kinda amazing, when you think about it...........

These add a whole other quality to your rendering portfolio. I love the modern, simplistic take on graffiti.

My favorite thing about your work day in and day out is the clarity.

I strive to reach that level every time I make something. Thank you for motivation.

Been loving this series, just wanted to ask are they done through extruding splines?

yes, essentially that's the basic technique for the shape generation. I use a bevel modifier though so I can achieve a chamfered edge on the upper corners.

That makes sense, also have you been using textures on these or adding it all in through Photoshop after?

It's textured and rendered in MAX

killer!!! the extra depth really sets off the 3Dness of this. One of the best yet.... BUT please stay away from the pissy graf fronts, they look cheap and nasty one spoil your stunning work!
